Ficus obliqua, better known by its common name, the small-leaved fig or strangler fig, is a part of the tree genus Ficus, known for its “strangling” properties. In tropical forests where competition for sunlight is quite intense, the ficus genus has adapted to become a type of parasitic tree whose seeds root onto their host tree’s canopy before slowly growing roots downward towards the soil.Eventually, the host tree will weaken and decay due to the lack of sunlight, creating a hollow space where it had originally been. Strangler fig roots then separate from the host, leaving a small space for small organisms to reside.

i combined two latin words i really liked and went with it :D
VERITAS
[ ‘vē-ri-tās ] The Roman goddess of truth,
also known as 'reality' in latin.

This is paro. Paros are spirits of the land that had died
far too early. To erase their sorrow, I tied their souls to little
shrine bells so they can live out the fruitful life they missed.They're inspired by the real life butterfly genus paruparo mio,
which are known to frequent fig trees ! I also liked the idea of making them look like little mice to represent a piece of me (because somehow I earned a mouse branding along the way..)Each paro can have different colored bows due to
personal preferences, as well as varying personalities.
